TOPIC: THE WISE CHOICE 3

BIBLE READING: Romans 1-3
TEXT: "“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve...” Joshua 24:15 In today's Rhema, we shall look at a number of persons who made wise choices in line with the will of God in Scriptures, for you to see what became of them and emulate them just as Scripture counsels in Hebrew 6:12, “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” The first person we shall be looking into is Abraham, the father of faith. In Genesis 12:1-3, the instruction of the Lord to Abraham to leave his father's house unto a land that He would show him was reported alongside the promise of God to bless him and also make him a blessing. As humans, two options would present themselves before Abraham. The first is remaining in his father's house where he was used to, while the second is stepping out by faith out of his father's house obeying God's command to a land God would show him which he didn’t even know. And in verse 4-5, Abram which was his name then made the wise choice by obeying God's command and departed with all of his household and all their substance. His choice paid off; he got to Canaan, the Promised Land which his father never made it to, and in chapter 13 verse 2, Scripture reports of him, “And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.” A wise choice will always pay off because there is a reward for it. Another person in today's study is Isaac, the child of promise. In Genesis 26, God instructed him to sojourn in the land of Gerar that he would bless him there despite the famine in the land. Before Isaac would appear two options, either to obey God's instruction and dwell in the land and sow in it or depart to Egypt as others to escape from the famine. Isaac made the right choice and dwelt in Gerar (verse 6) and prospered (Genesis 26:12-14). You can become an envy of the world if you will make wise choices. Prayer: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, empower me to make wise choices."
God knows all the details surrounding the birth, life, and death of every creature He has made. Even the billions of stars.
God has a name for each of them in the galaxies (Psalms 147:4). Whenever God takes a bit of what He knows and reveals it to a man, this is referred to as word of knowledge. God knows everything about everyone and everything in heaven, on earth, and beneath the earth. Nothing is missing from God's knowledge.
God is so full of knowledge that he longs to share a bit with us from time to time. If only you can link up with the Holy Spirit, worship Him daily, cultivate the habit of fellowshipping with Him and obey Him in all areas of life, He would hardly do everything that pertains to you that He would not have earlier revealed to you.
Just imagine, in Genesis 18:17-18 before He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, He said this, "Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great nation... For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him..." God couldn't hide what He intended to do from a man because Abraham walked in the ways of God. And even when He told Abraham, Abraham interceded for the city asking God if He could spare the city for the sake of the righteous on the city. He pleaded from fifty till he got to ten; that if ten righteous men were found in the city if God would spare the city and God agreed; but there were no such number in the city.
You can enjoy His secrets like Abraham if you follow Him like Abraham.
Prayer: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to serve you diligently to the end.
